Enjoy an evening of fine scotches and lively conversation in your home with members of our brass section. Don Rankin, tuba player and scotch expert will curate the evening. You and up to 3 of your guests will sample 8 to 10 scotches, including a 27 year old Old Pulteney, a 25 year old Talisker, an 8 year Old Lagavulin, and more. Don and his colleagues (Dana Oakes, trumpet; Hans Bohn, trombone, and Bob Couture, trombone) will pour the scotches in rounds so everyone is tasting the same scotches together, and Don will lead a discussion about flavor profiles, and exactly where each spirit comes from. The brass section will provide all of the scotches; the host should provide bread, cheese, and crackers or a similar snack between rounds, and drinking glasses. After tasting all of the scotches, everyone is encouraged to enjoy a second sample of a favorite or two.

The scotch tasting will be scheduled at the mutual convenience of the winning bidder and the musicians. Please note that this event may not be scheduled during the holiday season, as our gang will be busy playing Nutcrackers, Holiday Pops, and Messiahs!
