Description
Meet at the Berkeley Marina for a day of Dragon Boat racing on the Bay. These sleek mega-canoes originated in southern China more than 2500 years ago and are active today all over the world. Teams comprise of a drummer, a steersperson, and 20 paddlers (that's you!). This event will include about an hour of paddling and be followed or preceded by a snack and drinks tailgate and will be hosted by UMCS Co-founder and UMCS parent, Susie Wise.
With at least 20 people participating, 2 boats can go out at the same time and race each other. So grab a group of friends and double the fun!
At least 1 adult for every 4 kids under 13. 20 spots available. All proceeds will go to UMCS.

Location: Berkeley Marina (the last parking lot entrance on the right before the road ends at the Municipal Fishing Pier and the Chinese Dog Warrior sculpture, which are at the extreme west end of U. Ave.)
