Capoeira is a dynamic Afro-Brazilian art form & self-defense; with strong aerobic, self-defense & dance elements. It is a harmony of forces that gives you power, flexibility, endurance & self-discovery. Capoeira balances the body, soul & mind. It is a graceful, exciting art form that teaches you to be alert. The art keeps its strong traditions & enables you to break through limits, revitalizing you for everyday life.

The Capoeira Mandinga Alameda program and class curriculum encourages active interaction between instructor and student in a playful and respectful manner. Students are encouraged to develop the basic moves of capoeira at a pace they feel is comfortable for their body while steadily finding new challenges to go beyond one's perceived limitations. During kid's classes, recreational & creative principles are introduced through a variety of fun kids games where the elements of capoeira are incorporated. Through connecting this process to having fun, children learn many important skills including discipline, self confidence & respect.
