Title: Ancient Cave Drawings

Mrs. Wilson’s class was inspired by the painting in caves from the Stone Age.

They carved their own creation on a foam plate. They then rolled paint onto the foam using a rubber roller. After that, they carefully pressed a thick piece of mix media paper onto the foam transferring a colored print of their creation onto the paper.

Besides learning about the first art style in history, where handprints came from and who were cavemen, they very much enjoyed executing the elaborate printmaking process of making their unique piece of art.
