Description

Title: Wooden Bench with Painted Mud Cloth Designs

Reclaimed wood and pine slats were adjoined together to create this beautiful bench by Bay Farm mom Julie Peel.

Working with patterns, shapes, and lines the children copied designs from traditional mud cloths. Originating from Africa, mud cloth symbols traditionally hold meaning such as family, bravery, farming, and love to name a few.

Each child’s design was meticulously stenciled onto a slat of wood and then painted by the children using white milk paint. Black metal hairpin legs finish off this bench that will add art and function into anyone’s home!

Size: Width 46 in, depth 13 in, height 18 in
