This is a private dragon boat cruise for a group of 15 to 21 people, donated by the Berkeley Racing Canoe Center in the Berkeley Marina.

This would make for a great Birthday party!

Minimum age: 8 years old.

There must be at least one adult for every two children.

The modern dragon boat is a close replica of traditional Chinese riverboats. The BRCC boats are 48 feet long and propelled by 20 paddlers, a steersperson, and a drummer.

You and up to 20 of your closest friends will experience the efficiency and power of a large human-powered boat as you tour the marina and (weather permitting) the nearby Berkeley, Albany and Emeryville waterfronts. The cruise can be planned to take from one to three hours. Kids and dogs are welcome, no paddling experience necessary.

Schedule and route are subject to the weather, availability of volunteer BRCC members to steer, and the team's practice schedule. The boat is homeported in the Berkeley Marina on M-dock, across the street from Adventure Playground.
