Title: Melting Pot 

This work celebrates our children and the many cultures they represent and infuse into the melting pot that is Bay Farm School.

Mrs. Gordon’s second Grade created origami made from books representing the many languages spoken by them and in their homes, including English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Korean, French, and German.

The formation of the boats reflects their movement through second grade. These were mounted on a backdrop of water colored images they painted reflecting the water that surrounds their lives in Alameda.
