TLB Music, formerly Three Little Birds Music, was founded by best friends Carina Zimmerman and Katia Asthalter. During their childhood, Katia and Carina experienced the benefits of music education firsthand. Katia studied Opera while growing up in Paris and Carina studied piano and violin in Rhode Island. Both come from families who introduced many styles of music to them at an early age. Classical, Rock, Jazz, Opera, Folk, and Broadway were some of the favorites in their houses!

Katia and Carina decided to team up in 2008 to create TLB Music. The founding idea behind TLB Music was to establish a music studio in which children and parents could learn together through creative, imaginative play. TLB achieves this by providing enriching music classes that introduce all genres of music while allowing students to meet over 20 classical and folk instruments. Shortly after opening the music studio, Katia and Carina realized the need for a neighborhood playspace that was clean, welcoming, and filled with educational toys. So, in 2009, they opened The Playroom. The Playroom is filled with fun, eco-friendly toys and activities for children ages 6 months to 6 years. Everything in the Playroom was chosen to enhance your child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being.

We hope to instill a love of music in all of our students and strongly believe that music can serve as a communicative medium, developmental tool, and constant companion. We also believe that, in addition to structured educational play, unstructured free play is also crucial to a child's developmental achievements.
