Heidi Green’s photography career began in a classroom, but not a photography classroom – a preschool classroom.  It was her former career as an early childhood educator that sparked her passion for photography.  After hearing parents complain year after year about their children’s stale, cookie-cutter school portraits, Heidi was inspired to infuse a more natural approach.  She began bringing her camera to take candid photos of the kids, and the parents all wanted to buy them.  She knew that she was onto something special. Friends saw her work and hinted that she was in the wrong profession.  It only took her first photo job before she agreed. Heidi Green Photography was launched in 2006, and has since evolved into a versatile, boutique studio that includes a team of talented associate photographers and videographers.

With a B.A. from the University of Michigan, a Master’s in Education from UCLA, and additional training from the International Center for Photography in New York, Heidi is armed with both the technical skills and the un-teachable: a natural ability to connect with her subjects.  Jeff Zucker, President of CNN Worldwide and proud father of four was quoted, “Heidi’s professionalism, unique charm, and ability to always capture the moment, is why she’s a staple at all of our important occasions.  This is truly her niche.”
