Gouache on paper by Michael C Walek

Michael has an extensive background including earning both a BA from Tufts University as well as a four-year degree from The School of The Museum of Fine Arts. During his artistic career, he has worked as a teacher at Pine Bank Arts Center and at Kennebunk High School. 

Michael also owned two of his own galleries between 1978 and 1983. His murals can be found in private homes throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine as well as at Noble High School and Meadowmere Hotel, among others. 

He has also worked on building restoration and period garden design across the country. Michael's work has been featured in galleries all across the country, including on some traveling exhibitions
