There are four lines crossing paths, forming a cross. This gives the work a sense of symmetry whilst simultaneously highlighting the seemingly randomness of the patches  red, blue and yellow. This contrast creates a sense of movement within the piece, a sense of a boat rocking. The particular colours chosen allude to the perfect, glorious, sunset.
