White patches of paint draw us in to the middle of the painting. As we draw our eyes further outward, we now sense a vast unforgiving ocean. However, there is a sense of light, and a sense of hope, a metaphorical “light house” turning the hostile, remorseless ocean, into something hopeful and beautiful.
