Pocasset Golf Club is a great example of  Donald Ross's golf course designs which are carved out of a natural terrain. Constant changes in elevation, strategic bunkering, and varied green designs make for a true test of golf. Golfers are required to be accurate off the tee, and stay below the cup when hitting to the greens. The greens quietly undulate and can be full of curves requiring precision and distance control.
