Description

ANTIQUE, VINTAGE PEWTER INK WELL AND PEN HOLDER
Early to late 19th century.

It is in excellent condition, as the pewter has no dents or major scratches.  The bottom has felt covering any authorship marks.  These ink wells were typical in the 19th century – a Capstan or Loggerhead variety. The ink holder part is now not ceramic, but a usable and pristine white plastic, so it is close to the original.

It measures 8 inches in diameter and stands 2 ¾ inches high.  A lovely and powerful addition to your desk,  2 Quill pens come with the item. Pen holes could also serve modern day pens.

Outstanding!:  heavy weight of pewter. Large example.  Could be used still for pens or even as bud vase!
