Back in 1950 there was no Disneyland or Nickelodeon TV and no amusement parks for toddlers. Parks included carousels, pony rides and cotton candy ... I don't know about you, but my two boys would have lasted about an hour in a park like that!

Thank goodness, "Children's Fairyland" came to life with their story books characters right there for toddles to see, touch and play with.  We all wanted to play in one of the many adventures of Peter Rabbit, climbing the beanstalk with Jack, Hiding with Alice in Wonderland and seeing Pete's Dragon!
