Ms. Smiekel has always known she wanted to be a teacher. She began teaching immediately after college. Prior to joining Kent Denver, she taught Spanish in Georgia and at a college preparatory school in Tampa, Fl. She chooses to teach at Kent Denver because the World Languages department is outstanding and because Kent Denver has high expectations for its teachers and students, both in work ethic and in character.
