The Winery at La Grange donates 4 free wine tasting flights or two free glasses of wine at the Winery at La Grange. 

The Winery at La Grange is a relative newcomer to Virginia’s historic wine legacy. Established in 2006, we currently operate as both a farm winery and commercial grape buyer. Our farm includes Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot vines (Benoni’s Vineyard) and Petit Manseng (Catherine’s Vineyard). We harvested our first crop of Cabernet and Petit Manseng grapes in September/October 2012 and Petit Verdot in 2015 and will be making our first single varietal Petit Verdot from our 2016 vintage.

In addition to the grapes we grow, we also obtain whole fruit from various vineyards across Virginia and the West Coast. We then process and ferment the grapes at our winery under the direction of our winemaking team. Their objective is to produce the highest quality wine possible with the highest quality fruit that we can obtain. Our final wine portfolio exemplifies the best of Virginia winemaking techniques combined with the highest quality fruit that we can obtain.

Our farm winery is located in Haymarket, Virginia (Lat: 38.85097 Long: -77.68684) at an elevation of about 600 feet, right at the base of the Bull Run Mountain foothills. Our vineyard rows are oriented north-south to best capture available sunshine and the natural water drainage. The vineyards were established adhering to the tight vine spacing (8’ X 4’) model used in Burgundy, with detailed canopy, vine and fruit management to create balanced vines that focus on setting nutrient-rich, complex fruits with depth rather than outrageous overgrowth and overpowering, jammy fruit flavors.
