Description

You are bidding on 3 interesting wines: A 2010 Talaria Cuvee, 2010 Cain "Cuve NV10" and a Francis Ford Coppola 2010 Diamond Collection Black Label Claret. The Talara Cuvee was an unknown surprise gift to Chris and his wife Cassie a few years ago, and they liked it so much they ordered a bunch more online -- and this is one of the last remaining bottles. Cuve is French for blend and our Sonoma Cuve is a Bordeaux-style blend of Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit comes from Sonoma Valley vineyards located in the heart of Sonoma County. The Merlot and Malbec thrive in the valley floor where morning fog cools the vines before the afternoon warms up. The Cabernet Sauvignon is planted on steeper sites that provide more sun exposure, warmer temperatures and leaner soil. The 2010 Cain "Cuve NV10" combines the richness of the 2009 vintage with the freshness of the 2010, this incredible multi-vintage red offers an extraordinarily balanced Napa Cab. The dark fruit is layered with notes of raspberry and currant, laced with savory leather. To add balance to this blend, the 2010 brings freshness, red cherry and herbal components, fresh mint and crushed sage. The sum is greater than the parts in this case. The Francis Ford Coppola 2010 Diamond Collection Black Label Claret is a prize offering, the ultra-premium Claret, sports a label that honors the first Cabernet Sauvignon blended in a Bordeaux style by Gustave Niebaum in 1910. Claret is a term originally coined by the British to describe Cabernet-based wines. This Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc blend is alluring and sophisticated; it is memorably lush with a tapestry of smooth tannins and succulent flavors of wild berries, plum and anise. Borrowing tradition of European wineries, we add gold netting to bottle to signify outstanding quality of wine.
