Northwest artist Susan Roberts offers this hand built (not wheel thrown) one-of-a-kind stoneware bowl glazed with black and white high fire glazes.  4 1/4” deep, 5” across the base and 9 1/4” across the top with gently curved sides, it is food safe and can be washed in the dishwasher. Susan prefers the freedom of form that hand building allows as well as the less perfect look. Functional yet beautiful, this bowl is simply lovely.

"I started out throwing pots in 1994 but I stopped to go to art school in another discipline.  Life intervened and I didn’t get back into the studio until about 4 years ago where, besides throwing pots, hand-building is also an option.  I found that I really prefer it to using the wheel and have been hand-building ever since.
