Amy's approach to counseling is drawn from her training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, The 12-Step Recovery Model, Domestic Violence Intervention, Family Systems Theory and other treatment modalities that she has incorporated in over 20 years in this field.  She does not believe "one size fits all" in counseling and strives to build on your individual strengths and help you to maximize your potential for personal growth and fulfillment. Her goal is to provide a safe environment where you can feel comfortable to explore the past, gain personal insight and make positive changes when necessary. She views therapy as a highly collaborative process. She values your input and encourages you to discuss any concerns you have throughout your work together.
