Help fund our very first, CAMP OHANA, a 8 bedroom home located steps from the Worlds Most Famous Beach, Daytona Beach. We will be able to host foster youth from all over the East Coast as well as surf & surf retreats!

Melanie and her husband Bobby were passing by an auction in mid July of 2013. Among the auctioned items was an old 1920's house. Melanie was immediately drawn to this house. As she walked from room to room, it reminded her of a house from her past.
The auction was about to start and Melanie said to her husband, "we must bid on this house." The auction was between her and another couple, but in the end, she was able to get the house. It was an early birthday gift for her.
Looking over the deed, it turns out that Bobby's Great Uncle Joshua had once owned the house and over 3,000 acres in Fayetteville and that it was called Laten Bottom.
Over 2 1/2 years both Melanie and her husband have painstakingly worked on bringing the house back to its original stature. They have used local vendors and contractors in restoring the house. Melanie reminisces, "the house reminds me of a sweet old beautiful lady that was in need of some tender loving care."
It spoke to her at a time that when both Melanie and the house really needed each other. Melanie says, "the house is more than just a Bed and Breakfast. We have had many functions to promote both the house and Fayetteville. Various groups from across the country have stayed at this marvelous B&B."
Throughout the house, she has updated each room to have a unique theme. She has done her own artwork on some of the walls and curtains throughout the house. Each guest leaves with more than memories. Melanie gives a piece of herself by giving each guest a signed limited edition print that she has painted.
