The 1oz silver Britannia coin contains one troy ounce of fine silver and is produced each year by the Royal Mint. Each 1oz silver Britannia is imprinted with a "face value"; this one ounce coin is set as "£2", although the value is of course based on the market price of its metal content.

The 1oz silver Britannia coins feature the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, and the iconic image of Britannia on the reverse.
