Description

Weekend stay in the spring or fall at our hand-built house in Chatham, NY.

Weekend stay in the Spring, Fall, or Winter at our hand-built spacious cabin in Chatham, NY (Columbia County)

The cabin was built by Cid Maciel’s father, Leandro, out of cordwood masonry. The cabin has electricity, a wood burning stove, an electric composting toilet, and an outdoor shower. There is no plumbing, instead water is carried in from the well in the back yard. We are located on ½ an acre of private land at the end of a dead-end street in a small neighborhood that is a 20 minute drive from Hudson, NY and Great Barrington, MA. Activities in the area include hiking and conservation land walking, small towns with good food and movie theaters, farms, apple picking, etc.
On the property we have a giant swing, a fire pit, and a 12 foot trampoline.
Chatham is located 140 miles north of New York City, and is a direct 2.5 hour drive on the Taconic Parkway.

Date to be agreed on mutually and is flexible. Possible dates available over the Summer.
