It depicts a small rock that was found by the artist on the coast of California and is part of a larger series of photographs. The holes were made by sea anemones that once anchored themselves in the rock.
Special Instructions
Alan Wiener is an artist living and working in Brooklyn. He has had solo exhibitions at Feature, Inc. NYC and g-module, Paris, and has been in numerous group exhibitions. In 2017 he was a awarded a one-year residency at the Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program in Brooklyn, and in 2001 received a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship.
