Description

One introductory pony riding lesson at Flintridge Riding Club with Suzie Newman. Suzie offers introductory private lessons for new beginner riders – for both adults and children. Her lessons emphasize safe horse handling from the ground up. Introductory lessons include grooming, tacking up, and basic riding skills. Lessons are designed to instill confidence and allow riders to achieve their own personal riding goals whether for pleasure or the show ring.

Suzie has been involved in the horse industry for most of her life both as a rider/trainer and as an Equine Veterinary Technician. Most recently, Suzie was a trainer at Taking the Reins, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fostering the physical and mental well being of at-risk teenage girls through equestrian activities.

Suzie maintains the philosophy that when it comes to horses and riders, human safety is first, horse safety is second and everything else is third. She is extremely excited to have joined the extraordinary group of trainers at Flintridge. Taking over the beginner-riding program provides Suzie the opportunity to combine her two favorite things-children and horses.
