I live in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, and since 2003 I've been working in the sociology department at Long Island University-Brooklyn. My research interests are broadly focused on issues surrounding migration, immigrant assimilation, ethnic identity, and social inequality. Oh, I'm also a potter.
