Description
Framed Archival Digital Photo Print of Original Painting by Carla Caletti
This painting was made in early 2018, by painter Carla Caletti using acrylic, wax and paper. This image surfaced on the canvas as a response to the many challenges in the world today. The spirit of our grandmothers and their guardianship, whether alive or passed, seemed salient as a symbol of hope for the times. The artist imagined all of the grandmothers from many cultures gathering to offer support. And, this image was one of those women.
(Includes white mat in black 16 x 16 in. frame)
Value: $95.00
Carla’s work uses visual language to give voice to women. Her most recent Bay Area curatorial project, "One World, Many Faiths; A Collection of Altars by Women Artists," was a multi-cultural exploration of diverse Bay Area women articulating their cultural and spiritual identity in the context of an "altar.” In her own figurative paintings, Carla explores the female form, while revealing the evolution of a woman expressing herself in the world.
