Need to get your kids out into nature and away from electronics ?
Heike Schmalsteig and Claudia Beisiegel have the perfect solution for you.
We are offering a day trip for 7 lucky 6th graders to Castle Rock.
Date: May-28-2018
- 9-9:30 am: meet at Cafe Zoe for a hot chocolate and a muffin
- 10:30/11 am: arrive at Castle Rock
- 11-2 pm: hike the Castle Rock Loop with rest, stop for snacks and drinks
- 4 pm: return to Alto School for pick up
The views are spectacular and really show off the beauty of the Santa Cruz area. This is definitely a great climber's trail with boulders and routes along the way, especially on
Castle Rock Trail.
Features: Birding — Fall Colors — Views — Waterfall — Wildflowers
Family Friendly: This is a pretty simple loop.
Special Instructions
This is for 6th graders only.
Limit: 7 children
Bring: small backpack with lunch and 2 waterbottles
Wear: hiking appropriate shoes, layer clothes
No electronics !
