Description

This Beautiful Marble and Rosewood Antique Side Table was made in the late 19th Century in China as a typical furniture piece designed to appeal to both Chinese buyers and to export to the west in the late 19th century.

Featuring intricately hand-carved Chinese motifs into the dense rosewood, the design consists of foliage and flowers. The top is inset with marble and was most commonly used in its day as a stand for a fish bowl or large container for plants. The whole is set upon legs terminating in dragon clawed feet with raised borders.

All in the original finish and polish the piece is a fine old example of its form intact and ready to use as a stand or as a side table for today's modern needs.
