Description

In 1946, the Hawaiʽi Cattlemen’s Association (HCA) was formed by ranchers and community members concerned with the cattle industry on the island, the first of its kind in Hawaiʽi. HCA was formed to represent and lobby for the interests of Hawaiʽi Island ranchers.


This photograph was taken at the Association’s annual meeting in 1948.


This photograph on canvas appeared in Kona Historical Society's 2016 exhibit, Kona Ranching and Kona Cowboys. Dimensions are 11"x16".
