Description

Enjoy two "Mother Goose In Hawaii: Songs and Color from the Islands" books by Troy E. Tabor and illustrated by Lloyd Sexton.

One book is signed by the author and is a first printing, with a 1960 copyright. The second book is a third printing, with a 1966 copyright.

Excerpt from jacket: "IF ANY 'one world' can be said to have existed for a long time, it is perhaps the children's world of Mother Goose, where life is timeless, gay, and lilting, animals speak and share the common human experience, and the world of every day is relatively uncomplicated. This never-never land of delight is now adapted, fittingly, to the children of Hawaii in a book which blends the imagination of the traditional verses with the color and sweep of the island scene. For the first time, Mother Goose is rendered into the lyrical Hawaiian language and set to music, so that children of every land can have the fun of singing their favorite rhymes in a new tongue."
