Six lucky winners will join Oak Park Temple member and author of the biography, Good Chinese Wife, Susan Blumberg-Kason for a discussion of her life and experiences living as a wife, daughter in law and mother in China and Hong Kong in the 1990s.

Susan met and married a Chinese musician while a graduate student in Hong Kong. Speaking Mandarin and having studied Chinese culture she thought her transition into her new Chinese family might be a smooth one. She was mistaken. Susan's memoir details her five years in a new culture much different from the Chicago suburbs where she grew up.

Of course this discussion wouldn't be complete without a taste of China, so your discussion will be held over dim sum at one of Susan's favorite Chinese restaurants.
