Karlin Uretsky
(1920- 2012) NYC 1946-1950, Syracuse University on GI Bill, graduates Summa Cum Laude in fine art, Paris studies at Cité Internationale U. de Paris and the Sorbonne, 1952-1954 lives and works in Norway, 1953 designs chair in the 1953 Venice Biannual, 1956 returns to NYC teaches Parsons School of Design and Elizabeth Irwin HS.
1956-1969 studio in Manhattan. 1970-1975 stops making art, 1975 begins weekly life drawing sessions with artist friends including Sidney Tillim and Martin Canin.
1993 retires from teaching and paints and draws full time. 2002/3 production diminishes and stops. ArtforHealingNYC.org
