Description

We are artists, farmers, chemists, parents, and friends. We are grateful. We are small but on the verge of something big. We are believers in sustainability. We are in awe of our children. We are optimistic, passionate and curious. We are laborers, visionaries, and good dinner guests. We are aware we should be doing more. We are dedicated to creating beautiful wines from the ground up. We are up for the challenge.

2014    Lagom 'Duvarita Vineyard' Pinot Noir

Bright red fruits mingle with earth and spice creating unmistakable “Typicity” the term the French use for “true to varietal character”.  The texture of this wine is astounding with a silky presence from front to back.  The wine remains fresh and vibrant long into the finish.  Bottled unfined and unfiltered after 18 months in barrel, this wine is gorgeous now and will age beautifully over the next decade.

2014    Lagom ‘115' Pinot Noir

The low yields on this steep rocky hillside delivers a deep and intense wine with substantial structure and weight.  Smaller portions of Clone 115 from both Duvarita and Bien Nacido complex the wine with subtle perfumed notes and brighter fruit.  Aged in barrel for 18 months and bottle aged for an additional 12 months, this wine is beginning to open up and show its true self and will be stunning with time in the cellar.

2014    Lagom ‘Bien Nacido Vineyard' Pinot Noir

Earth tones, dried herbs, tobacco and deep red fruit up front are beautiful leading to a seamless rich middle while fresh acidity supports the wine long into the finish.  Bottled unfined and unfiltered after 18 months in barrel, this wine is stunning in its youth and will continue to age with grace for at least a decade.

2014    Lagom Chardonnay

Loamy topsoil over layers of calcareous shale create a wine that is loaded with stone fruits, melon, and tropical notes entwined with layers of mineral and flint.  The wine is rich and supple with great acidity and purity that keeps the wine fresh.  Long slow fermentation in barrel utilizing native yeasts, complete malo-lactic fermentation, and bottling unfiltered allow for a gorgeous expression of the varietal and place that will impress young and continue to develop over the next 5 to 7 years.
