Description
Ever wish you could experience Waldorf Education yourself? Or learn more about what makes this education so compelling? Sunbridge Institute's Waldorf Weekend offers just that opportunity.
Every January and July, Sunbridge's Director of Education Anna Silber hosts a memorable and fun Waldorf Weekend in Chestnut Ridge, NY, for anyone interested in learning more about the foundations and fundamentals of Waldorf Education. Garnering much praise from those who attend, these experiential workshops provide:
- A survey of the Waldorf curriculum and how it relates to the growing child
- An exploration of the anthroposophical ideas that serve as the underpinnings of the Waldorf impulse
- A look at Rudolf Steiner’s insights into human development
- Hands-on artistic activities common to the Waldorf experience, including drawing and eurythmy
- Opportunities to ask your most pressing questions
- A deeper understanding of and appreciation for Waldorf Education
This workshop begins Friday evening, runs all day Saturday, and concludes early Sunday afternoon.
Waldorf Weekends are open to the public, but are designed especially for new and prospective Waldorf community members, including teachers, parents, grandparents, staff, and board members. Past attendees have also included students of education, public and private school teachers, and homeschooling parents.
