This is an 8.5x11.5 inch framed mixed-media rendering of a baby lion cub perched on posts.  Done with watercolor background and sky, the lion cub and the logs are drawn with artist-quality colored pencil, which enable one to see every hair on the cub's paws and face as he peers over the posts at the viewer.  The image, originally published in Colored Pencil Magazine, is framed in a simple black frame without mat, but with a space between the frame and the watercolor paper.  If you love wild cats, this baby will steal your heart.
