Travel to a tropical island just by looking and feeling this amazing wood sculpture! A beautiful hibiscus flower sits atop a wooden branch. Three sweet baby birds sit puffed up on the branch, one looking inquisitively at the dark reddish brown flower and the other two looking at you, the observer. This 3D sculpture is made using a technique called Intarsia where various shapes, sizes, and species of exotic woods are fit together to create a mosaic-like picture. The exotic woods used in each bird are Blue Pine, Yellowheart wood, Poplar wood with dark Cherry wood beaks and feet. The hibiscus flower petals are made of Bloodwood, Cherry and Padduk woods with a light throat of Yellowheart wood.  The branch is made of deeply grained Marblewood, Poplar and Walnut woods.
