German Shepherd Copper Bas-Relief Plaque

Description
This vintage copper bas-relief plaque of a German Shepherd was made by 20th century artist John Louw. The sculpted portrait depicts a tactile head of a German Shepherd looking alertly skyward to the right with tongue happily hanging out. The copper sculpture has black details that help define the three dimensional aspect of this piece and is mounted onto a highly-polished copper backing. It is presented in a dark brown wooden frame with a thin gold tone stripe. The artist has inconspicuously signed his work beneath the dog’s scruff.
