Fly Fishing for Mako Shark in San Diego with Conway Bowman

Item Number: 565
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Head out for a full day of FLY FISHING FOR MAKO SHARKS right off the coast of La Jolla. Local San Diegan, fly fishing guide, and TV host Conway Bowman (Father of PDL 2nd Grader, Max) will take up to 3 anglers for the trip of a lifetime. Beginners to advanced anglers will have fun tugging on a mako shark for a few miles offshore of San Diego. Makos are one of the most dynamic foe in our local waters. They are known to jump 15' out of the water numerous times during the battle and they are one of the fastest fish in the ocean, having been clocked at up to 60mph. Not to mention, they have a few sharp teeth! Captain Conway will also teach you about the shark's life history and perhaps entertain you with a few fun fishing stories. All fly rods and fishing tackle will be provided. Anglers will need to have a California fishing license, food and beverages, which can all be purchased onsite the morning of the trip. The trip is recommended for ages 10 & up. This is a catch and release trip only. All sharks are released. Absolutely no sharks are kept. Mako season is June through October and trip dates are dependent on Conway's TV filming schedule.
