About the artist:

In 1996 a friend gave me some gourds she'd grown in her garden to paint. That was the beginning of my love affair with gourds!    I had been creating with gourds for about 14 years, been a member of several co-ops and galleries, when in 2010 another etsy seller asked me if I'd be interested in creating an on-line shop? She was kind enough to sit down with me and guide me through the process of setting it up...and I was hooked. As an artist who creates one-of-a-kind pieces, it has never been an assembly-line type 'business', but rather another way to share my work with those who might be interested. Now that we have moved back to a small town in central Oregon, it is my main venue as there are no galleries or artist's co-ops here....the nearest being in Bend or Sisters.
