The Jesse tree tradition stems from a scripture in Isaiah that says a sprout will grow from the tree of Jesse(King David's father), and the sprout will produce fruit. During Advent, a tree is decorated with ornaments that correlate with scripture readings. These readings tell the story of God 's family from creation through the birth of Christ. It is a wonderful way for your family to intentionally focus on your faith story during the holiday season. The students of 2B created 31 ornaments for a very special Jesse tree. Scripture references and a small tree are also included.
