Each year over 40,000 school children from all over the state of Vermont and upstate New York come to the Flynn for a Student Matinee performance. Although we try to keep our ticket prices affordable, close to 7,000 of our students need to be subsidized. For $160, a group of 20 students will experience the joy and wonder of the performing arts.
Special Instructions
The Flynn Student Matinee Series connects children, teachers, and schools with the performing arts in deep and meaningful ways, bringing performances to Vermont that both complement school curriculum, and introduce students to worlds they have never known before. The high-quality shows illustrate the dynamic relationship between the performing arts and history, literature, and world cultures, and sometimes introduce fascinating art forms that lie outside the curriculum, like puppetry, dance, and more.
