The Broad Collection
On view in the thirdfloor galleries is a robust and changing selection of masterworks from the Broad collection. The installation includes works by major artists who came to prominence in the 1950s, including Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, and Cy Twombly. The Pop art of the 1960s—an area of great depth in the collection—is represented through works by Roy Lichtenstein, Ed Ruscha, and Andy Warhol, among others. Moving into the 1980s, the installation presents a rich concentration of works by artists such as JeanMichel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Barbara Kruger, and Jeff Koons.

A collaboration with the Royal Academy in London, Jasper Johns: ‘Something Resembling Truth’ will feature more than 100 of the artist’s most iconic and significant paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings, many never before exhibited in Los Angeles. With loans from international public and private collections, including significant works from the Broad collection, the exhibition will trace the evolution of the artist’s six-decade career through a series of thematic chapters. Tickets to this exhibition include general admission.

Special Instructions
All orders are subject to a $.50 shipping and handling fee. This fee will be automatically added to your total purchase when the auction closes. Gift certificates will be sent via USPS or e-mailed if applicable. If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email auction@friendsofwalgrove.com by March 17th, 2018 and we will do so at your expense.
Larger items can be picked up in Los Angeles, CA or shipped at the winning bidder's expense via USPS Priority Mail. $6 for large envelopes, $13 for medium boxes, $18 for large boxes. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. We will insure packages when shipping; however, Friends of Walgrove is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
Walgrove Community: Pick up option is available. Pick up at Friday morning, March 23,2018 in the Parent Center at Walgrove Elementary. Additional pick up dates and times TBA.
