"I completed this pastel on textured hardboard in a group setting. That is to say that
during the 2015 Escalante Plein Air event we had a gathering of artists at the Slot
Canyon Inn. This is a gorgeous place in one of the most beautiful locations in the
southwest – Escalante National Monument. It was fun to paint side-by-side with other artists, enjoy some good food and beverage and to appreciate what we all need to remember – that these public lands are very special and are not to be take for granted."
