Description

Ever wondered what it takes to see a book through from start to finish? Have you been sitting on a great idea or a partially finished manuscript and don't know where to go next? Are you curious about what it means to take the leap into publication?

On September 23, 2018, join ninth grade parent Elizabeth Percer, an award-winning novelist, poet, and essayist for an afternoon of wine, cheese, and conversation! We'll begin by enjoying some delicious libations before Elizabeth speaks briefly on these topics and invites participants to engage in a lively Q&A session. New and seasoned writers alike are welcome, as are interests of every kind! Many thanks to the Henrikson family for hosting this fun and engaging event!

Elizabeth is a three-time Pushcart Prize nominee and the author of the novels All Stories Are Love Stories and An Uncommon Education. She is a creative writing instructor at Stanford Continuing Studies, and has conducted research on creativity and education at Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, Claremont, and The University of Chicago. She's also a mother of three, and loves to speak about navigating professional and parenting demands while pursuing creative work.
