Second Grade Class Gift: Changemaker Library

Item Number: 545
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Inspired by this year's curriculum theme of upstanders, changemakers, and contributors, the second graders are building a Changemaker Library bookshelf. This bookshelf will hold a curated collection of books about real or fictional characters that helped make the world a better place. As we've seen with recent events, when children realize they have a voice and lend their passion to a cause, they can move mountains.
The Changemaker Library will have a permanent home in the upstairs Mansion hallway for students of all grades to browse and borrow. A highlight of the bookshelf will be a professionally printed and bound book of short bios about Chinese American, African American, and Latino changemakers written by the second graders.
From the parent project leads: "When the students were told that work they would be doing would allow more kids to come to Nueva, they let out a cheer! Give them another reason to cheer by donating money for student financial aid by purchasing this item."
You'll receive a copy of the second graders Changemaker biography book for your home library.
Do you want to contribute more than $75? You can purchase multiples! Just let Sarah Ordody know how many biography book copies you actually want.
