The wines featured in the Abrams Cellar collection were specially curated by Michela Abrams in loving memory of her husband Alan J. Abrams who served as the Chairman of SI's auction Wine Committee for several years. The proceeds from tonight's wine auction will benefit a scholarship fund in Alan's name to honor his many years of service to the SI Community.

The 2012 Cain Concept is a beautiful, flowing wine that leaves your palate refreshed. It was a year for low yields and moderate vigorwhich is to say it was a year for the Benchlands. It is the difficult years that reveal the potential of the best vineyards and demonstrate the choices we make. When grapes ripen slowly and gently, as they did in 2012, that's not difficult. Then, when we composed the blend in the spring, it was important to make a judicious selection of the most complete and harmonious wines. Nothing in this is unusual for Cainthat's what we've always done. Sauvignon 73% Merlot 16% Petit Verdot 7% Cabernet Franc 4%
