Description

Thirty five years ago, Phil Coturri set out to prove that organic grapes simply make better wines. Beyond the health and environmental benefits, organic farming allows the terroir of the vineyard to shine. Winery Sixteen 600 is Phil Coturri’s vision of wine from the vineyard to the wineglass.  You can read more here in Wine Spectator magazine about why Phil is famous in wine country circles for being the leading edge in organic vineyard management.

Two bottles of 2014 Steel Plow Grenache:

With its rocky alluvial soil and warm days, tempered by the cool winds that funnel through the narrow northern end of Sonoma Valley, you could amlost picture the Steel Plow Vineyard being near the banks of the Rhone River. The contrast of warm sun and cool wind allow for ripe, elegant Grenache.
