Description

Is your child ready for an adventure? Do you want your 4th or 5th grader to learn some biking independence skills before heading off to middle school at Hillview? Wheel Kids will lead your child on a 3-hour bike adventure around Menlo Park. Your child will visit popular locations in our city, including a stop to get a treat, and experience what it's like to ride across town. This is a great opportunity for your child to practice bike skills, get safety tips and learn which routes are best for young cyclists. Your child will have an amazing time under the guidance and supervision of two professional bike coaches. We'll even throw in a free t-shirt and a bag of cool bike-related stuff. This event is open to 4th and 5th grade students from all MPCSD elementary schools. All kids must provide their own bike and helmet. Event will be held Saturday, April 21st, 2018 from 9am to 12pm. Note: This item is designed for kids who can ride two-wheels and have achieved the fundamentals of riding: independent starting, stopping, use of brakes, and controlled turning. Kids signed up should have the stamina to ride about 30-45 minutes on flat terrain before needing a break.
