Librarian for a Day!

If your child's favorite day is "library day" and s/he enjoys helping others, then this is an experience that s/he will love! One lucky student will take over as the Librarian of the Day, working alongside Mrs. Hinton. The morning begins by reviewing the lesson plans for the day. The Student Librarian will lead a story time with younger students. This may include reading stories, singing songs and play-based activities. After the story time program, the Student Librarian will check out books to students. Students who enjoy technology can choose to work in the computer lab with our emerging Kindergarten techies. The winner will get to choose a new book to be purchased and added to the library, with a nameplate in the book to commemorate this special day. The afternoon concludes with lunch (BYO) and a yummy dessert provided by Mrs. Hinton.
